Everyone today wants to get a nice cold cup of healthy juice. Not many people know, or think, that the juice can sometimes be bad for them, for both their health and for their valet. The juicers are a good way to get tons of vitamins and minerals into your body, however you also have to be aware of the fact that juicers convert tons of food into a glass of fresh juice which even though looks amazingly healthy could also be a bomb for your body that it can’t take all at once.
The juicers will convert 5 apples and 3 bananas with 4 mangoes into a nice 2 glass juice which as refreshing as it is, still has so much sugar in it, that you would not be able to eat on your own in the next 30 seconds that it would take you to drink those two glasses. This high amount of sugar intake for such a short time can be bad for your health and before you start juicing everything you need to be aware of a few things that you have to respect when it comes to juicing
Juicing won’t cleanse your body of toxins
People usually get into juicing because they heard that it’s the only healthy way to detoxify your body. If you believe that your body is going to get rid of all the bad toxins just because you started drinking healthy homemade juices, you are dead wrong. The liver and kidneys constantly cleanse your body and detoxify it. If they start malfunctioning you are in trouble, but until they do, nothing you start consuming will help you cleanse more. If you want to detoxify, stop poisoning yourself, for instance, stop drinking alcohol. That will give your kidneys and liver a much easier time when they start removing toxins from your body.
Juicing is expensive
Juicing is not something that you can just decide to get in because it’s healthy. Everyone can wish to be healthy, but the fact of the matter is not a lot of people have the money to eat and drink the healthiest things. Juicing is one of those things where you have to be prepared to drop a few bucks if you want to implement it into your normal daily life. For instance, when you go shopping, you will now spend 50% more money on vegetables and fruits. And don’t forget that once you decide to go buy the juicer, you will have to spend a few hundred bucks as the machines are not cheap.
Expect to invest tons of time
While everyone thinks that juicing will take 5 minutes tops, the fact is that it will usually take several hours of your week. If you want to juice every day at least once, that would take you anywhere between 20-30 minutes. As you have to cut the fruit place it in the machine and wait till there is enough juice. Also, don’t forget that every machine needs to be cleaned, so there are another 10 minutes of preparation added to your first thought.
Juicing has been a long talked about health benefit that almost made it into every home in the early 80’s and mid 90’s. The craze was that you can get all the nutritional value of consuming all the fruits and veggies you normally could not as you would need to have over 10 meals a day to eat all of that. However, there were also negatives that needed to be taken into consideration.
For instance, all the sugar intake that would be avoided during eating as the sugar would build up over time and tell your brain that you have had enough. If you were to just drink juice you could chug down a liter or two before you could start feeling full. Having that much sugar in your blood in an instant that it takes to drink it is bad by the way, and we are not advising you to start juicing everything during your whole day, just that in the morning healthier things like drinking an orange juice can actually help you wake up faster and better than you could when you drink a cup of coffee for instance.
When you decide to get into the juicing world, you also have to have some knowledge beforehand as most people usually go into something without lots of knowledge and they then later start learning. This can be fine and dandy when it’s something not related to your health if it is related to your health than it’s smart to know things before you start doing them. So, let’s list some things that we think are detrimental as knowledge for any future juicer.
Juice more vegetables than fruit
Most people want to buy a juicer so they can start converting sweet fruit into healthy juices. The thing is this much sugar intake can be bad for your health. If you want to start your day with a nice fresh juice that is fine, however, don’t think juicing whole day every day will make you healthy, at least not when you are juicing with fruits. If you want to juice your way to a healthier life, juice vegetables as they are not full of natural sugars, but in fact of the things, your body needs more.
Juicing is good for weight loss but only when regulated
Juicing can help with weight loss, but not if we juice every time we get back from a workout. If you want to lose weight and still get your vitamin dosage from the juicer only dose your juicing with fruits once a day. If you want to juice with veggies than you are fine, but be careful of the calorie intake either way.
You still need to eat
While juicing can sometimes look like a healthy meal as all the nutrients come from your vegetables or your fruit, it should not replace a full meal. Having a nice diet and balanced will help you have a healthier life more than relying on the juice and its power.
So, you heard about the amazing health benefits that you can get from juicing up your vegetables and your fruits, but you are not sure which one should you get. The juicing market has tons of products on offer and almost all of them are the same in the sense that they do get the job done. However, all of them have a different style and method of doing the same job, and therefore they will produce significantly different results. To understand what is the difference between the Centrifugal juicers and the cold press juicers we will first have to explain them individually.
These are the juicers you will most commonly see in restaurants and in most homes, as they are fast when it comes to their performance and produce a juice with the least amount of pulp. Since some people don’t enjoy pulp in their juice this is also a highly sought out machine when it comes to the juicing world. For this reason, you will usually see the centrifugal juicers more present than the cold press ones in the restaurants and cafes.
To delve inside the juicer for more detail we will notice that it also has a different build inside of it compared to the cold press. The centrifugal juicer works by extracting juice by grinding and pulverizing the vegetables and fruits to small bits that can easily pass through its sharp blade and the filter. Due to this filter that is located between the blade and the outer pipe, where the juice is extracted from the machine, the pulp remains inside the juicer instead of going to the glass.
In short, the pros and cons of the centrifugal juicers are:
– Fast preparation of juices
– Can fit and consume large chunks
– Does not mix pulp with the juice (for some this is a positive)
– Not good for juicing leafy vegetables
– Produces less juice
– Higher foaming
– Does not mix pulp with the juice (for some this is a negative)
Cold Press Juicers
Cold press juicers are much slower than the one mentioned above, and it can’t crush hard and big chunks like the former mentioned one can. However, due to these reasons, the cold press juicers can extract more juice as they literally squash the juice and pulp out of the product that is placed inside and it works wonders with extracting leafy vegetable juice. There are also many benefits to this type of juicing and some negatives, depending on what you are looking for. So, let’s list them:
– Can juice leaf type products
– Higher volume of juice production
– Minimal foaming
– Fairly quiet
– Higher pulp presence in the juice (for some this is a positive)
– Slow time of juice production
– Can’t take large chunks
– Much higher pulp presence in the juice (for some this is a negative)
As you can clearly see, even though they are both juicers they operate in a different way. Depending on which one your life style needs we hope that this article has explained how they work and helped you make a conscious purchase.
People who want to add a bit of a juicing adventure and lifestyle into their normal lives have made a step in the right direction, at least according to science. While it is nice to eat healthily and exercise, sometimes we don’t have time for everything in our busy lives. For this reason, having a healthy but a fast meal is now more important than ever. However, to incorporate many different healthy fruits and vegetables into your daily eating habits can be hard, if not impossible. In situations like these, the juicers are a godly made machine that will help you achieve your goal without sacrificing anything of value, besides your wallet that is.
The most common question we hear is what are the health benefits of juicing and we will now answer them
Fresh juice is the best direct way to inject your body with the healthy dose of vitamins that you need.
Every time you go to the store to buy some juice that is “100% that fruit” consider that usually, that is not the case. While the juice that you buy at the store has the taste of that plant you bought, there are tons of preservatives inside that juice that ruin the healthy benefits of injecting said juice. If you want a healthy way of inserting a ton of vitamins and minerals directly into your bloodstream than the juice you can prepare at home is the way to go.
Juicing gives you the opportunity to expand your diet
While people want to eat healthily they sometimes can’t eat everything as they don’t have 2 stomachs. Juicers are the best way to consume all the ingredients you want and need without the need to spend tons of time eating them or several meals. You can just juice them and drink it in a glass or two with the same benefits as if you ate them.
Fresh juice has healthier and higher levels of minerals and other benefits
While buying things that are already prepared or going to the store to get some fruit are all healthy ways of living your daily lives, juicing lets you get everything in its freshest form. The amount of fruit that you buy sometimes can get spoiled as you can’t eat all the fruits within its normal life cycle. However, you can always have a nice cold glass of said juice as eating a kilo of banana is much harder than drinking a milkshake of the said kilo of bananas. Don’t waste your money by throwing the thing in the garbage can because you are forcing yourself to eat it all and still failing. Get a juicer and cut the eating needs by half while you still enjoy the same benefits.
