Breads and Papadums Recipes - Til Puri

Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lb plain (all-purpose) flour

  • 30ml/2 tbsp sesame seeds

  • 10ml/2 tsp salt

  • 10ml/2 tsp sugar

  • 10ml/2 tsp celery seeds

  • 10ml/2 tsp caraway seeds

  • 10ml/2 tsp black pepper

  • 10ml/2 tsp onion seeds

  • 300ml/1/2 pt water

  • ghee for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Mix together all the dry ingredients. Add just enough warm water to make a firm dough, divide into 16 equal portions and roll out to thin circles.

  2. Heat the ghee and deep-fry the puris until golden brown on both sides.
