Ingredients
350g/12 oz blanched almonds
2.25l/4 pts milk
225g/8 oz sugar
5ml/1 tsp ground cardamom
pinch of ground saffron
Method:
Soak the almonds in hot water for 3 hours then drain and slice. Heat the milk in a large pan, add the sugar and boil until thickened slightly.
Add the almonds, cardamom and saffron and serve hot.
