Ingredients

450g/1 lb ghee
-
75g/3 oz blanched almonds,
chopped
-
45ml/3 tbsp peanuts
-
45ml/3 tbsp raisins
-
5ml/1 tsp ground cardamom
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp vanilla essence
(extract)
-
12 frying bananas
-
75g/3 oz sugar
Method:
-
Heat a little ghee and fry the
almonds, peanuts and raisins for 3 minutes then stir
in the cardamom, nutmeg and vanilla essence.

Heat a
little more ghee and fry the peeled bananas until
lightly browned. Add the sugar and keep stirring
until the mixture forms a lump. Remove from the heat
and mix well.

Shape the mixture into small
balls then flatten and fill with the fruit filling
and press the banana mixture round to enclose the
filling.

Heat the remaining ghee and fry the balls
until golden brown on all sides. Serve hot.
