Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lb marrow (squash), peeled and grated

  • 450g/1 lb sugar

  • 150ml/1/4 pt milk

  • 675g/1 1/2 lb khoya

  • 5ml/1 tsp ghee

  • 15ml/1 tbsp pistachios, chopped

  • 15ml/1 tbsp flaked almonds


Method:

  1. Put the marrow in a pan with the sugar and milk and simmer for 10-15 minutes until thick. Remove from the heat and mix in the khoya.

  2. Sprinkle the nuts over a baking and spread the marrow mixture evenly over the nuts. Leave to cool. Cut into shapes to serve.
