Desserts and Sweets Recipes - Mysore Pak

Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lb sugar

  • 300ml/1/2 pt water

  • 450g/1 lb gram flour

  • 675g/1 1/2 lb ghee

  • pinch of ground cardamom


Method:

  1. Boil the sugar an water to a thick syrup. Add 90ml/6 tbsp of ghee then the gram flour and remaining ghee and stir over a medium heat until the ghee appears on the surface, stirring continuously.

  2. Pour on to a greased flat dish and sprinkle with cardamom. Leave to cool then cut into 2.5cm/1 in squares.
