Quick Kheer
Ingredients

300ml/1/2 pt milk
-
425g/15 oz canned rice pudding
-
25g/1 oz blanched almonds,
finely chopped
-
25g/1 oz pistachios, finely
chopped
-
25g/1 oz sultanas
-
15ml/1 tbsp sugar
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp ground cardamom
-
5ml/1 tsp rose or kewra water
Method:
-
Boil the milk, add the rice
pudding, half the nuts, the sultanas, sugar and
cardamom.
-
Return to the boil then simmer gently for
7 minutes. Stir in the rose or kewra water and serve
sprinkled with the remaining nuts.
