Desserts and Sweets Recipes - Sesame Tofee

Ingredients

  • 450g/4 cups sesame seeds

  • 150g/6 oz sugar

  • 120ml/4 fl oz water

  • 225g/8 z desiccated (shredded) coconut


Method:

  1. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan until lightly browned. Boil the sugar and water to the syrup.

  2. Add the coconut and simmer over a low heat until the syrup is thick and sticky.

  3. Stir in the sesame seeds and remove from the heat. Shape into small balls and store in an airtight container.
