Ingredients
Method:
-
Cook the rice in boiling water
over a medium heat for 5-6 minutes until one quarter
cooked. Drain.

Bring the milk and cardamom pods to
the boil, add the rice and simmer for 30-40 minutes
until the rice is soft and the milk very thick,
stirring occasionally at first then continuously as
the mixture thickens.

Add the sugar, almonds,
cardamom and nutmeg and simmer for a further 5
minutes, stirring continuously.

Remove from the
heat, discard the cardamom pods and sprinkle with
rose water. Serve warm or chilled.
