Ingredients

  • 30ml/2 tbsp ghee

  • 75g/3 oz vermicelli

  • 450ml/3/4 pt milk

  • 75g/3 oz sugar

  • 25g/1 oz sultanas (golden raisins)

  • 5ml/1 tsp ground cardamom


Method:

  1. Heat the ghee and fry the vermicelli until golden brown. Pour in the milk and bring to the boil. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Add the sugar and sultanas and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the desired consistency is obtained. Sprinkle with cardamom before serving.
