Boti Beef
Ingredients

120ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup natural
(plain) yoghurt

1 onion, chopped
-
2.5cm/1 in ginger root, chopped

3 cloves garlic, chopped
-
5ml/1 tsp poppy seeds
-
15ml/1 tbsp chopped fresh
coriander
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp black pepper
-
5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp ground turmeric
-
1.5ml/1/4 tsp ground red chili
-
salt
-
900g/2lb boneless beef, cubed
-
30ml/2 tbsp oil
Method:
-
Puree all the ingredients
except the meat and oil to a paste. Pour over the
meat and leave to marinate for 1 hour.

Thread the meat on to metal
skewers and grill for about 15 minutes, turning and
basting with oil occasionally, until the meat is
cooked to your taste. Serve hot with mint chutney.
