Beef & Pork Recipes - Nargisi Kebabs

Ingredients

  • 675 g/1 1/2 lb minced (ground) beef

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 7.5 ml/1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 2.5 cml1 in ginger root

  • 5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 3 green chilies

  • 5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 3 green chilies

  • 5ml/1 tsp garam masala

  • salt

  • 3 eggs

  • 12 hard-boiled (hard-cooked)

  • 10 ml/4 tbsp ghee

  • 1 lime, sliced


Method:

  1. Place the beef, onion and 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp turmeric in a pan with a little water boil until the meat is cooked and , water has evaporated.

  2. Grind the ginger, cumin seeds, chilies, garam masala and salt to a paste then add the ked meat and grind again until soft.

  3. Mix in the raw eggs and season to taste wit salt. Shape the mixture round the hard-boiled eggs.

  4. Heat the ghee and fry the coated eggs until well browned on all sides. Garnish with lime slices and serve hot on its own or with a tomato sauce.
