Beef & Pork Recipes - Nargisi
Kebabs
Ingredients
-
675 g/1 1/2 lb
minced (ground) beef
-
1 onion, chopped
-
7.5 ml/1 1/2 tsp ground
turmeric
-
2.5 cml1 in ginger root
-
5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds
-
3 green chilies
-
5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds
-
3 green chilies
-
5ml/1 tsp garam masala
-
salt
-
3 eggs
-
12 hard-boiled (hard-cooked)

10 ml/4 tbsp ghee
-
1 lime, sliced
Method:
-
Place the beef, onion and 2.5
ml/1/2
tsp turmeric in a pan
with a little water boil until the meat is cooked
and , water has evaporated.
-
Grind the ginger, cumin seeds,
chilies, garam masala and salt to a paste then add
the ked meat and grind again until soft.
-
Mix in the raw eggs and season
to taste wit salt. Shape the mixture round the
hard-boiled eggs.

Heat the ghee and fry the
coated eggs until well browned on all sides. Garnish
with lime slices and serve hot on its own or with a
tomato sauce.
