Beef & Pork Recipes - Pasand Kebabs
Ingredients

60 ml/2 tbsp ghee or butter
-
2 onions, sliced
-
900 g/2 lb minced (ground) beef
-
5 cm/2 in ginger root, minced

8 green chilies, finely
chopped
-
1 bunch fresh coriander
(cilantro), finely chopped

600 ml/1 pt/2 1/2 cups natural
(plain) yoghurt
-
10 ml/2 tsp ground black pepper
-
10
ml/2 tsp ground cloves
-
5 ml/1 tsp ground turmeric
-
salt
-
1 onion, cut into rings
-
1 lemon, slices
Method:
-
Heat half the ghee or butter
and fry the onions until golden brown. Mix them
with the remaining Ingredients and season to
taste with salt.
-
Cover and leave to marinate for
2 1/2 hours.
Shape the mixture into small balls
and thread on to kebab skewers.
-
Melt the remaining ghee or
butter, brush over the kebabs and grill (broil) for
about 20 minutes until golden brown on all sides.
Serve hot with onion rings and lemon slices.
