Kebabs
Ingredients

900g/2 lb minced beef
-
2 onions, chopped
-
175g/6 oz.1 cup yellow split
peas
-
10 black peppercorns
-
2.5cm/1 in cinnamon stick
-
5 cardamom pods
-
8 cloves
-
3 bay leaves
-
2.5cm/1 in ginger root, chopped
-
2 dried red chilies
-
675ml/1 1/4 pt/3 cups water
-
30ml/2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
-
salt
-
1 egg, beaten
-
45ml/3 tbsp oil
-
25g/1 oz/1/4 cup plain flour
Method:
-
Mix all the ingredients except
45ml/3 tbsp of the oil and shape into 20 meatballs
2.5cm/1 in thick.
-
Heat the remaining land fry the
meatballs for 20 minutes until browned. Serve hot
with mint chutney.
