Lamb Recipes - Kuchha
Konna
Ingredients

900 g/2 lb boned lamb, cut into
chunks
-
100 ml/3 1/2 fl oz/6 1/2 tbsp ghee

225 g/8 oz onions, sliced
-
600
ml/1 pt/2 1/2 cups natural (plain) yoghurt
-
2 curry leaves
-
1 cinnamon
stick
-
6 cardamom pods
-
8 cloves
-
10 peppercorns
-
10
ml/2 tsp ground coriander (cilantro)

6 dried red
chilies
Method:
-
Place all the
ingredients in a heavy based pan and
add just enough water to cover.
Bring to the boil and simmer over a
low heat for about 1 hour until the
meat is tender, stirring
occasionally and adding a little
more water necessary.

When the onions
have dissolved and the ghee appears on the
surface, the curry is ready. Serve with chapattis.
