Lamb Recipes - Spicy Kebabs

Ingredients

  • 900g/2 lb minced lamb

  • 1 onion, grated

  • 4 cloves garlic, grated

  • 1cm/1/2 in ginger root, grated

  • 1 green chili, grated

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1.5ml/1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp paprika

  • 25g/1 oz/1/4 cup gram flour]5ml/1 tsp chopped fresh mint

  • 30ml/2 tbsp natural (plain) yoghurt

  • salt

  • 60ml/4 tbsp oil


Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients except 45ml/13 tbsp of the oil and shape into 20 meatballs.

  2. Flatten to about 2.5cm/1 in thick. Heat the remaining oil and fry the meatballs for about 20 minutes until browned on all sides. sere hot with mint chutney.
