Indian Food Recipes - Saucy Chicken Indian Recipe
Ingredients
120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup tomato puree (paste)
5 ml/1 tsp soy sauce
few drops of chili sauce
8 cloves garlic, chopped
2.5 cm/1 in ginger root, chopped
15 ml/1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
15 ml/1 tbsp honey
1 green chili, chopped
salt and pepper
1 chicken, skinned and cut into portions
30 ml/2 tbsp oil
Method:
Mix together all the ingredients except the oil and chicken. Prick the chicken all over with a fork and rub in the marinade. Leave to marinate overnight.
Heat the oil and fry the chicken and marinade for about 40 minutes until the chicken is tender.
