Seafood Recipes - Fish Shifta

Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lb white fish, minced

  • 4 large onions, minced

  • 1 sprig fresh coriander ( cilantro), chopped

  • 1 sprig fresh mint, chopped

  • 1 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 2.5 cm/1 in ginger root, chopped

  • 10 ml/2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp oil

  • salt  and pepper

  • oil for frying


Method:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients except the frying oil and shape into tat sausage shapes.

  2. Heat the oil and shallow-fry for about 10 minutes until cooked through and browned. Serve hot with chutney and tomato sauce.
