Mustard Prawns
Ingredients

1/2 coconut, grated (shredded)
-
15 ml/1 tbsp mustard seeds
-
2 green chilies
-
450 g/1lb peeled prawns
(shrimp)
-
10 ml/2 tsp ground turmeric
-
5 ml/1 tsp chili powder
-
salt
-
1 bunch fresh
coriander (cilantro), chopped
-
60 ml/4 tbsp oil
or ghee
Method:
-
Grind the
coconut, mustard seeds and chilies to a
paste then mix with the prawns, turmeric,
chili powder, salt and coriander.
-
Heat the oil or ghee
and fry the prawn mixture gently, stirring , for
about 15 minutes. Serve hot with plain rice and
dal.
