Steamed Bengali-style Fish
Ingredients

900 g/2 lb white fish fillets,
cut into chunks
-
salt
-
10 ml/2 tsp ground turmeric
-
3
dried red chilies
-
10 ml/2 tsp mustard seeds
-
15
ml/1 tbsp water
-
5 green chilies, slit
-
30 ml/2
tbsp mustard oil
Method:
-
Season the
fish with salt and set aside.
Grind the turmeric, chilies,
mustard seeds and water to a
smooth paste.
-
Mix together the
fish, ground paste, chilies and oil,
place in a steamer and steam for 10
minutes or until tender. Serve hot with
plain rice.
