Stuffed Plaice
Ingredients

2 large plaice
-
10 ml/2 tsp
ghee
-
1 large onion, chopped
-
24 cooked, peeled prawns
(shrimp)

10 ml/2 tsp tomato puree (paste)

3 green chilies, chopped
-
2
hard-boiled (hard-cooked) eggs, chopped
-
1 clove garlic, chopped
-
120 ml/4
fl oz/1/2 cup
water

1 egg
-
salt and pepper
Method:
-
Cut the slits in the sides of
the fish and remove the centre bone if possible.
Heat the ghee and fry the onion until browned.

Stir in the prawns, tomato
puree, chilies, hard-boiled eggs, garlic and water
and simmer gently until thick. Leave to cool.

Mix into he egg, divide the
mixture in half and use to stuff the fish. Season
the fish with salt and pepper and wrap in oiled
kitchen foil.

Bake in a preheated oven at
200C/400F for 45 minutes until the fish is tender.
Serve with fried potatoes.
