Indian Food Recipes - Indian Rasam Powder Recipe
Ingredients
275 g/10 oz/2 1/2 cups coriander seeds
50 g/2 oz/1 cup dried red chilies
50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup black peppercorns
100 g/ 4 oz/2/3 cup red lentils
50 g/2 oz/2/3 cup yellow split peas
7.5 ml/1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 small bunch fresh curry leaves
5 ml/1 tsp ground turmeric
Method:
Dry roast all the ingredients except the turmeric in a heavy-based pan until lightly colored.
Grind everything to a fine powder. Store in an airtight container.
