Indian Recipes - Lentil Chutney Indian Recipe
Ingredients
30ml/2 tbsp ghee
50g/2 oz red lentils
3 dried red chilies
2.5ml/1/2 tsp asafoetida
60ml/4 tbsp grated (shredded) coconut
salt
Method:
Heat the oil and fry the lentils, chilies and asafoetida for 5 minutes. Add the coconut and salt to taste. Grind everything to a fine paste.
