Chutneys, Pickles and Relishes Recipes - South Indian-style Green Chutney

Ingredients

  • 50g/2 oz fresh coriander (cilantro)

  • 100g/4 oz grated (shredded) coconut

  • 4 green chilies

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 5mm/1/4 in ginger root, chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1.5ml/1/4 tsp tamarind concentrate

  • 120ml/4 fl oz water

  • salt


Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend to a fine paste.

  2. Serve in a small bowl as a dip with snacks or apptizers.
