- Sweet Chutney
Ingredients

100g/4 oz tamarind
-
300ml/1/2 pt water

100g/4 oz jaggery
-
5ml/1 tsp chili powder
-
5ml/1 tsp coriander (cilantro)
seeds

5ml/1 teaspoon aniseeds
-
5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds, roasted
-
salt
-
15ml/1 tbsp chopped coriander
(cilantro)
Method:
-
Soak the tamarind in hot water
then strain and extract the pulp.
-
Grind the jaggery
with all the remaining ingredients except the
coriander, adding a little water to make the
consistency you prefer. Serve garnished with
coriander.
