Indian Recipes - Dhandai Indian Recipe
Ingredients
1.2l/2pts milk
50g/2 oz sugar
25g/1 oz blanched almonds
15ml/1 tbsp pistachios
5ml/1 tsp kewra or rose water
2.5ml/1/2 tsp yellow food color (optional)
1.5ml/1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1.5ml/1/4 tsp ground saffron
large pinch of ground mace
large pinch of grated nutmeg
ice cubes
Method:
Pour the milk into a large jug and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
Stir in all the remaining ingredients until well blended. Serve chilled with a meal or instead of tea in the summer.
