Drinks Recipes - Saffron and Almond Milk

Ingredients

  • 5ml/1 tsp saffron strands

  • 60ml/4 tbsp hot milk

  • 50g/2 oz flaked almonds

  • 1.75l/3 pts milk

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp ground cardamom

  • 75g/3 oz soft light brown sugar

  • 6 ice cubes


Method:

  1. Soak the saffron strands in the hot milk for 15 minutes. Blend the saffron milk with the almonds, milk, cardamom and sugar for 1-2 minuets until whipped and creamy.

  2. Add the ice cubed and blend for 20 seconds. Serve in wine glasses.
