Spicy Fountain
Ingredients

15ml/1 tbsp fennel seeds
-
30ml/2 tbsp rose petals
-
30ml/2 tbsp poppy seeds
-
50g/2 oz melon seeds
-
5 cardamom pods
-
8 black peppercorns
-
12 blanched almonds
-
300ml/1/2 pt milk
-
50g/2 oz sugar
-
600ml/1 pt water
-
crushed ice
Method:
-
Grind the spices and almonds to
a paste with a little water.
-
Strain thorough muslin
(cheesecloth) then stir in the milk, sugar and water
and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Serve with
crushed ice.
