Dals Recipes - Simple Sprouted
Lentils Recipe
Ingredients
-
100g/4 oz/2/3 cup whole green
lentils
-
30ml/2 tbsp oil
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp cumin seeds
-
2 onions, chopped
-
2 green chilies, chopped
-
Pinch of ground turmeric
-
120ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup water
-
salt and pepper
-
juice of 1 lime
-
2.5ml/1/2 tsp sugar
Method:
-
Soak the lentils in water
overnight then drain and cover with a damp cloth.
Leave in a warm place for 8-10 hours until sprouted.

Heat the oil and fry the cumin
seeds for 1 minutes. Add the onions and chilies and
fry until soft but not browned. Add the turmeric,
sprouts, water, salt and pepper, stir well, cover
and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sprouts have
softened. Stir in the lime juice and sugar before
serving.
