Dishes Recipes - Onion Pulao Rice Recipe
Ingredients

15ml/1 tbsp ghee
-
5ml/1 tsp cumin seeds
-
15ml/1 tbsp chopped onion
-
1 dried red chili, chopped
-
2 cloves
-
1 cinnamon stick
-
225g/8 oz basmati rice, saokes
-
600ml/1 pt water
-
salt
-
225g/8 oz baby onions,
par-boiled
Method:
-
Heat the ghee and fry the cumin
seeds, onion and chili for 2 minutes. Add the
cloves, cinnamon and rice and fry for a further 3
minutes, stirring.
-
Add the water and salt, bring to
the boil and simmer for a further 10 minutes until
the rice is cooked.
