Raitas Recipes - Tomato, Cucumber and Onion Raita

Ingredients

  • 500g/17 fl oz natural (plain) yoghurt

  • 150g/5 oz tomatoes, cut into 1cm/1/2 in pieces

  • 1 small onions, finely chopped

  • 1/2 cucumber, cut into 1cm/1/2 in in pieces

  • salt

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp ground roasted cumin

  • 15ml/1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)

  • 1 small green chili, chopped


Method:

  1. Whisk the yoghurt until smooth. Stir in the tomatoes, onion, cucumber, salt and cumin. Chill in the refrigerator.

  2. Sprinkle with the remaining ingredients before serving.
