Snacks Recipes - Cheese Bondas

Ingredients

  • 300ml/1/2 pt milk

  • 100g/4 oz plain (all-purpose) flour

  • 75g/3 oz butter

  • 100g/4 oz Mozzarella cheese, grated

  • 3 eggs, beaten

  • 5ml/1 tsp chili powder

  • salt

  • ghee for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Warm the milk then gradually beat in the flour. Add the butter and stir until thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese.

  2. Add the eggs, chili powder and salt. Leave to cool. Divide the mixture into 6-8 balls. Heat the oil and fry the balls until golden brown.

  3. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot with tomato sauce.
