Snacks Recipes - Gram Flour Rings

Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lb gram flour

  • salt

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 5ml/1 tsp cardamom seeds

  • 100g/4 oz ghee

  • ghee for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Mix the flour, salt, chili powder and cardamom seeds. Rub in the ghee and enough water to make a stiff dough.

  2. Divide in half and roll out into thin round discs. Roll the discs then chop the roll into small rings.

  3. Heat the ghee and deep-fry the rings until golden. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot with chutney.
