Prawn Pakoras
Ingredients

50g/2 oz gram flour
-
30ml/2 tbsp water
-
2 onions, sliced
-
5 green chilies, chopped
-
5ml/1 tsp pomegranate seeds
-
pinch of bicarbonate of soda
(baking soda)
-
salt
-
450g/ 1 lb peeled prawns
(shrimp)
-
ghee or oil for deep-frying
Method:
-
Place the flour in a bowl and
add just enough water to make a batter. Stir in the
remaining ingredients.
-
Heat the ghee or oil and drop
teaspoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry
until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and serve
hot with tomato sauce or chutney.
