Snacks Recipes - Rice Idlis

Ingredients

  • 225g/8 oz par-boiled rice

  • 175g/6 oz split black beans

  • salt


Method:

  1. Soak the rice and split beans separately for 5-6 hours. Grind separately to coarse batters then mix them together, and salt and leave to ferment for at least 8 hours.

  2. Without stirring the batter, pour it into greased idli moulds or egg poaching cups and steam over boiling water for about 20 minutes until soft and fluffy. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
