Snacks Recipes - Sagolet

Ingredients

  • 100g/4 oz sago

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • 600ml/1 pt warm water

  • 1 large potato, boiled and mashed

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 green chilies, chopped

  • 25g/1 oz desiccated (shredded) coconut, toasted

  • 2-3 dried mint leaves

  • 15ml/1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp black pepper

  • oil for deep-frying


Method:

  1. Soak the sago and salt in the water for 30 minutes then drain.

  2. Mix together all the ingredients then shape the mixture into small balls and deep-frying until golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce.
