Snacks Recipes - Spinach Chat

Ingredients

  • 100g/4 oz gram flour

  • 150ml/1/4 pt water

  • salt

  • 2.5ml/1/2 tsp chili powder

  • ghee for deep-frying

  • 225g/8 oz spinach


Method:

  1. Add enough water to the flour to make a thin batter then stir in the salt and chili powder.

  2. Heat the ghee. Dip the spinach leaves in the batter then slide into the hot ghee and fry until golden. Drain on kitchen paper and serve with chutney.
