Indian Recipes - Spinach Chat Recipe
Ingredients
100g/4 oz gram flour
150ml/1/4 pt water
salt
2.5ml/1/2 tsp chili powder
ghee for deep-frying
225g/8 oz spinach
Method:
Add enough water to the flour to make a thin batter then stir in the salt and chili powder.
Heat the ghee. Dip the spinach leaves in the batter then slide into the hot ghee and fry until golden. Drain on kitchen paper and serve with chutney.
